Jewelry

Diamonds are a women's best friend as they say! When it comes to buying Jewelry for a gift though, you need to keep a few things in mind. Below are some questions to ask yourself.

* How long have you been together?

* How serious is the relationship?

* What type of jewelry would be a good fit for your girlfriend/boyfriend?

* How do you think he or she will feel about receiving this gift?

How long have you been together?

This is really an important question since it would seem really desperate if you would show up on your first date with a diamond necklace. Don't do it folks!

I personally feel that waiting for at least six months is a good thing before you buy your date any jewelry, but there is one circumstance where you may want to before hand. For example, if you have been friends for awhile before you started dating, then that may be ok, but not recommended.

The rule of thumb should be the six month rule before buying your date any jewelry to avoid looking like you are buying their love. You want them to want to be with you and not wanting the material things you may be able to provide.

How serious is the relationship?

If you are not sure where the relationship is going, then hold off on buying anything until you are aware of where things are heading. You really need to be in a serious relationship where you both are truly in love with one another and will really appreciate the jewelry as a token of the bond you share.

If your girlfriend/boyfriend is still wanting to see other people and are not sure of things, this is a definite sign to wait until the relationship gets more serious before you buy any jewelry.

What type of jewelry would be a good fit for your girlfriend/boyfriend?

This is really something that you will know once you have spent some time with your lover. When you are walking in the mall together or when you are shopping together, your date will drop hints like "those earrings are stunning, or I would love that type of necklace some day." Keep your ear open for these types of hints!!

How do you think he or she will feel about receiving this gift?

This is a great question to ask yourself and to me one of the most important questions anyone can ask. If you answer this by saying you think he/she will be uncomfortable receiving this gift, then don't buy it for them.

You want to be sure that the timing is right for any jewelry gift because it really means that you are serious about her and that she means a lot to you!

People aren't always built to throw money around now a days so you want to make sure that she is ready to receive this from you.

Once she is, then go for it since diamonds last forever!!
